LION
ROLE: LION
Joonghyuk
Joonghyuk
KNOWLEDGE CANNOT BE GENTLY EMBRACED
On Monday, at 12 PM EST / 9 AM PST, Niah catches Joonghyuk's attention. Both will innately know that they have somewhere to be, and Niah will be able to lead the way—even if they've never been there before. His form changes, as they're both accustomed to, but takes that of a lion, and upon reaching their destination, they will be greeted by the Watchers.
After finishing their business, Joonghyuk and Niah will not be able to return to this location again without being invited back, regardless of whether they attempt to return on the same day or in the same week. Niah will be able to take his lion form again on his own, but will revert to one of his original forms upon leaving. Joonghyuk and Niah both will know that this form cannot be shared openly, and that caution should be practiced with sharing it privately, as well.

As the lion, Joonghyuk will be given a new task with each new week. Though the specific tasks may vary, all must be completed before Friday at 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST. Should Joonghyuk report successful task completion in time, he may be rewarded. Should he fail, he may be punished.
Additionally, Joonghyuk may use this time to speak directly with the Temporals each week. He may ask questions, receive small hints, or simply chat with them, though any information received will be subject to the Watchers' own discretion.

★ Keep it secret.
★ Use your daemon's lion form sparingly.
★ You will be given one task each week, to be completed by Friday at 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST.
★ If the task is completed and reported by the deadline, you may receive a reward.
★ If the task is not completed on time, you may be punished.
★ If you are asked to murder, you will not be allowed to confess before or during trial, and no evidence will be left behind pointing to you.

... His daemon did stay the same form for both trial and execution, but I thought it was for convenience.

It could have been or it there could be more there. It's hard to say when there are only two examples.
Unfortunately there is only one way to know what will be the truth.
no subject
... Another example?

gonna make a stabbing motion with one of their hands. ]

[ Another MURDER. ]
Then the current theory is killing someone from the opposing team will settle your soul and have the spectres coming for you if you’re executed. This isn’t much of a reward… Unless there’s more you can tell me about incentives this week.
no subject
[ hmmm. ]
I don't know anything about the incentives and I—I can't speak to what happens. I've been good about not turning into Dust.
no subject
[ He sighs. These dusty, dusty NPCs. ]
That’s one of the main differences between Qi Rong and Bertolt Hoover’s cases, aside from their ages which don’t seem to currently be tied to settling.
no subject
[ i'm sorry hei. ]
Correct. Age doesn't to be a factor in what we're discussing but age still matters in relation in the Dust, Daemon, and Spectre relationship. Probably.
no subject
[ I AM SURE OF THIS UNLESS I AM WRONG imagine. He nods, though, because what they're discussing is a bit different from the mg universe lore. Player characters be special. ]
no subject
Your theory is dependent on the teams being different while mine is less specific.
[ i no longer know what they're talking about tbh. ]
no subject
... Less specific. Then do souls settle because of motive? Qi Rong didn't need to be coerced to kill.
no subject
Think a bit broader, especially considering how Qi Rong didn't need a motive.
no subject
... He just wanted to kill and that is "who he is as a person." Chaotic.
[ ??? ]
no subject
[ joonghyuk is valid and i apologize that rameel is here just being a gremlin. but hey, if they don't have to say the words then no harm done, right? ]
no subject
[ GreMLIN. ]
no subject
Now we're too broad, however now I'm curious if that is a pattern to look out for.
no subject
He didn't seem keen to play your guys' game when I spoke to him, so I can't say it is because he consented to playing his role in the dispute.
no subject
If both of their daemons did settle.
no subject
... Idi was in her giraffe form since the beginning of trial, then also during the kill, even though Bertolt is a child.
[ ......... is it as simple as: ]
They both killed, a possible action of maturity, and both settled, but since Bertolt is of a different age he wasn't taken by the spectres?
[ i am sorry i'm dumb ]
no subject
they'll place a finger on their nose. ]
Well, wouldn't that be a sign of becoming aware of oneself? Coming to understand that perhaps you've done something irredeemable?
When you compare it against what you already know, it sounds pretty compelling, doesn't it?
no subject
... It isn't something most people would consider since a handful of us have taken lives. Thousands of them.
[ He sighs. ]
I don't want people to ask questions.
[ i will let them but yjh does not want to ]
no subject
But now you're ready if some people have questions, aren't you? However, if they don't then you still end up at the top.
It's a net gain.
no subject
So the daemon won't be able to shift whatsoever, correct?
[ I will do a wrap-up summary for both of us soon. ]
no subject
Correct!
no subject
[ Does me summary. ]
This passage applies to those born into a world with daemons, where matured adults would be vulnerable to spectres. Those brought here and given a daemon by special circumstances aren't settled due to age, instead our souls settle when we take someone’s life. Their daemon will only take one form from then on.
The main point you want me to share, if asked in detail, is the requisite of settling.
At execution, spectres do collect adults that settled, based on the two examples we have.
[ This should be right? ]
Does a threat even apply to us while we are resolving the dispute?
