Gone are the familiar sights and sounds of your own world, replaced instead by narrow streets with haphazardly arranged buildings covered in faded, peeling paint, as if you’d simply stepped through a door into a new world. A city long past its prime sprawls before you, empty and abandoned, with no sign of where its population could have gone or even how you arrived here.
The suffocating, eerie silence of the city means footsteps echo in the alleyways, and makes it all the easier to hear something odd. Is something following you? Something tells you that you aren’t in any danger, though, so perhaps it is safe to turn and see what’s there.
An animal looks back at you, as if you are its whole world. Its name feels obvious, as if it has always been there at your side, always been a part of you. And you know, instinctively, that this creature knows you better than anyone ever could.
You will both be safe, as long as you are together.
That’s what the angels will tell you, anyway, once you reach their tower in the center of the city. They offer to help you get settled in, but they don’t exactly mention how you’re supposed to get home. Guardian angels just aren't what they used to be.
Hello & welcome to your interest check for Chasma, an upcoming murdergame opening on September 25th. The game will be loosely based on His Dark Materials, and we are prepared to accommodate no more than 45 players. All characters will be challenged weekly, allowing them to choose to work together or against each other to influence the outcome of the game.
Housekeeping
★ Characters will wake up in the game setting from their current canonpoint, as if they’ve fallen asleep right in the middle of it. What brought them here you ask...?
★ Characters will awaken with a daemon. For info on how daemons will be incorporated into the game, you can check out the daemons page! You are free to choose your daemon's three forms based on what will best suit your character, but if you need a helping hand, let us know and we'll be happy to help!
★ All powers will be nerfed upon arrival, may have the opportunity to regain canon powers or other rewards as the game moves forward.
★ Cast caps are set at three per canon.
★ Characters will be sorted into one of two factions upon arrival. More info on this later!
★ All kinds of characters are applicable, as long as they can be killed. If you’re unsure about your choices, feel free to ask your mods!
★ While characters of all ages and backgrounds are welcome, we will be taking suitability into mind for this game, meaning we will assess on a case-by-case basis so that all of our players will be as comfortable as possible.
★ That said, if your character is chosen to kill, they must be willing to do so! Characters will be also encouraged to kill on their own - as such, characters who are willing to be a little bloodthirsty or selfish are encouraged. Additional incentives may be provided to coax out that side of a character so that even your pures and protags have a chance at murder.

This game will be run on an invite-only basis, so you must have received a link to this interest check from one of the mods - that's Snow, Naru, and Ray. If there are still slots remaining by September 15th, we will open those slots for players to invite +1s. Please remember to ask the mods before extending those invitations!

Like in previous games, we will be using a Discord server for game updates, which you can join here. Even if you're undecided about joining, you're free to come and hang out in the peanut gallery if it turns out you can't make it. Since all ongoing information in the game will be going through the server, it is mandatory to join once your application is in.
