ROLE: MAGPIE alisaie

finder's keepers

On Tuesday, at 11 AM, Taftosimi catches Alisaie's attention. Both will innately know that they have somewhere to be, and Taftosimi will be able to lead the way—even if they've never been there before. Despite settling, his form changes to that of a magpie, and will point out certain items to bring with them to their destination. Somewhere along the way, Yomiel appears to offer a terse greeting.

After finishing their business, Alisaie and Taftosimi will not be able to return to this location again without being invited back, regardless of whether they attempt to return on the same day or in the same week. Taftosimi will be able to take his new magpie form again on his own, but will revert to his black-footed cat form upon leaving. Alisaie and Taftosimi both will know that this form cannot be shared openly, and that caution should be practiced with sharing it privately, as well.


As the magpie, Alisaie will be presented with three items each week, and she may keep only one. Each item has the potential to have a positive effect on the competition and its participants, a negative effect, or may do something completely different. No information will be offered regarding each item until Alisaie has made her choice. Only then will the effects of the item chosen be revealed. Choose wisely!

Additionally, Alisaie may use this time to speak directly with her assigned Watcher, Yomiel. She may ask questions, receive small hints, or simply chat with them, though any information received will be subject to Yomiel's own discretion.

[ once the decision is made, all three items turn into golden dust and fade away. as they disappear, alisaie will realize that the item she has chosen will automatically plant false evidence for a murder this week. ]

[oh hey there sup, haven't spoken with you too much. But that's okay! Having glanced up to alert her to who was there, Taftosimi goes back to hunting through their surroundings, making little chattering noises as he tips his head to examine any items of potential interest.

Alisaie gestures in the direction of the little magpie.]

What is this? Taf hasn't changed forms since Otamo, and even ere then this wasn't one of them.

And under other circumstances, he still wouldn't shift. It's because you were chosen for this role that he has the extra form.

[veraltwin]

A role? [She's visibly startled; THE TIMING ON THIS....... but then she folds her arms, smiling in spite of herself.]

If you keep this up, I'm going to begin wondering if anything we say is truly private here.

What am I meant to do in this role?

[She's going to choose the penguin plush this week! Fingers crossed for a better result...]

[She never got close enough to find out their magical A/C properties in Ahnkeen but here and now--hello, that's a nice break from the cold???]

...now I understand why the others were standing so close to you. That's a remarkable talent.

But my first question for you is what the other two objects would have done. I didn't want to select the snow globe if it would have caused a blizzard.

Alisaie has found three concert posters, though she may only choose one to keep:

★ Infancy, a heavy metal band featuring all of the members with pacifiers
★ Smooth Bards, a symphonic rock band with medieval costumes
★ Garbage Affinity, a punk alternative band that looks like they still play out of their mom's garage

[Are we really choosing Garbage Affinity? I GUESS SO!!!]

[ love that i could have led you straight to a horrible choice and you just went with it anyway.

the posters vanish into Dust as per usual, and when they're gone, Alisaie will find a new feather on her coin. when used, the feather will summon air pods that will allow Alisaie to tune into someone and listen to their thoughts for up to 30 seconds. this power may be used up to three times, but only once per person. ]

[ we're at the concert hall today! while alisaie is led to her posters, their eyes will be on the stage where a crew is setting up. ]

[veraltwin]

[Yomiel, are you interested. Do you want to do sound check for them they might let you.

But anyway, Alisaie and Taf are going to find these posters... and she's going to stare at them for a loooooooooooooooooong moment before going to Yomiel.]

I know you cannot tell me anything until I've made a selection. But these choices seem even more unclear than the last.

[Please help????? Taf alights on her shoulder, head cocking in interest as she continues--she and he both are looking for any sort of response from Yomiel, anything that might help one way or another as she muses.]

The members of "Smooth Bards" seem reminiscent of Camebit. It makes me wonder if there is aught there we missed that may have been helpful to our cause.

Meanwhile, "Infancy" lends itself to the symbology Nero has been learning from. The symbol of a child means having to do with the future, as I recall. Something that will affect our future?

"Garbage Affinity"... [She shakes her head.] I don't see anything in this poster that seems to relate to our situation. I can only guess this selection is the trivial choice, as the gryphon claw and snow globe were.

Am I on the right path?

I know you guys are new to a place like this, but the gimmicks don't have to mean anything in particular. Some indie bands are just... really out there.
