[ wherever sheba is, baraqiel just - seems to show up behind her. there's at least a rustle of feathers to announce their arrival, but it may be something they do on purpose, so as not to completely catch her off guard. ]

The kids in town said the lighthouse was haunted, so I decided to check it out.

[sheba stop running at ghosts challenge (no).]

I didn't see any ghosts there, but we did find a body? It was holding onto this.

[ they'll come to meet sheba out on the beach with a rustle of feathers. ]

He wasn't ours. I've no idea why he would try to frame you like that. [ a kid, no less. ] I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that, Miss Sheba.

So he was just crazy, then. [qi rong!! why!! (i say, in metatext, knowing he just did it for shits and giggles.)] There wasn't anything to be worried about. There were dozens of people looking for the truth - it was bound to come out eventually.

week 2; tuesday

[ coming to meet her in the market, footsteps silent and daemon weasel-formed bounding through the remnants of the stalls outside of the shops. ]

You can make a deal with any Watcher, with a max of six per week for anything that might be related to your powers, or a powered item.

[aha. she smiles, and aura, who is hovering near her in jupiter djinni form, gives a pleased-sounding trill.]

In that case, I'd like to make a deal with you, Baraqiel. How much do you know of the powers I had before I came here?

week 2; tuesday

[ sheba is greeted by satariel, in the garden, watching their raven hop through the plants to pick at the fruits and vegetables there. ]

Well, it depends! Mostly, we need to know what your powers do, and then we can scale it for you. Give you that exchange.

[helloooo, satariel! aura is in peregrine falcon form right now, perched on sheba's shoulder.]

Right, that makes sense... oh, and some of us were talking about it the other day. Does it have to be our powers? Or if we come up with something else that could be useful, would that be an option?

week 2; friday

[ she has her mask on, to start, when she comes to greet sheba. her wings are poofed up though, and it's obvious even under the cloak.

satariel is also stressed about these returns lately. ]

If you want the bubble, I'll happily give it to you - but you guys keep coming back a wreck, and, honestly, I'm all about having more healers out there.

I'd prefer healing. I don't want to just stand there and not be able to do anything useful other than call for help or hand over supplies to other people anymore.

week 3; monday

[ shamsiel will meet sheba where is the most easiest for her. ]

You want to regain the ability to summon a djinn?

[they're probably somewhere outside, since sheba's running around doing a bunch of errands for the local npcs today!]

Hmm... yes and no? Each djinni we encountered had its own ability that we could make use of by unleashing it. There was one I used a lot back home - it rendered me both invisible and incorporeal, so if something tried to attack me, it would simply pass right through me one time.

But djinn are made of pure elemental energy, and after they've been unleashed, we could use that energy to call on stronger spirits. Some of them would attack something for us, but others could heal us or make us stronger.

I figure asking for both is a bit much, even though having a single djinni would allow us to do both things back home, so... I thought one function or the other.

week 3; monday

What kind of "assistance" were you looking for?

[sitting by a fountain, during which sheba fights the urge to push rameel into it...]

That's the thing... something that would, I don't know, make it easier to figure things out. Especially if last week means there will be more victims each week. We were lucky to have caught Suigetsu last time; I don't want it to be just luck that leads us to finding a killer, you know?

Why do you all have such weird powers, anyway?

There's a really long answer I could give you about Alchemy and Psynergy and a bunch of stuff from my world, but I don't know if you actually want to hear it.

Hello, Miss Sheba! It's been a while, huh?

[ don't mind this just hobbling over to sit somewhere. they're still injured, you know! ]

To be honest with you, though, I'm actually not sure how much I'll be able to help.

It has been! It's good to see you again, though.

[(me, shaking dw for notifs)]

Oh...? [hmm...] Is it because you're injured...? I can probably get some medical supplies from the market for you.

Or is it just not the type of thing I can make a deal for?

[ backdating to tuesday because baraqiel didn't really answer anyone monday with the. party games and whatnot and also i'm dying. ]

I don't believe I'll be able to get you another use of your vision power, but perhaps I can add a little more time to what you have already. 90 seconds instead of 60.

[ because she's already heard from suriel, there isn't a redundant explanation as to why. ]

[she assumes that baraqiel would not even offer that much if it wasn't possible, so she won't be like "are you sure?"]

[ this one's tuesday because the other one is tuesday you already know it's me. satariel will find her, and once it's confirmed to just be the two of them - at least, without any other travelers around - she takes the mask off. her hood stays on, though. ] Sure! Tell me a story, and then find out the team of one person, and tell two other people your genuine feelings about them. Once you do, you can either beef up - [ she flexes both arms ] - the power of the healing magic, or you can increase the uses.

...okay! I can do that!

[well, finding out someone's team might be hard, but she can manage. it's fine. she'll figure it out.]

What kind of story would you like to hear? Does it have to be a true story?

[ they'll call sheba to the mansion today, where they sit just outside on a worn bench and greet her with a smile. ]

I think it does count, Miss Sheba, and I'm to be able to help you.

[she smiles back at them and takes a seat on the bench next to them! hello.]

[ baraqiel's daemon in weasel form will get aura's attention, in a quiet squeak, before leading the two of them out of the hall and around the corner. hello, baraqiel is here. ]

[ since there are festival preparations happening all around them, yomiel will come to answer sheba with two whole meat skewers! he offers her one as if that's the request. ]

[ this is mobile so you'll get a masked satariel, first, strolling up to sheba and falling into step with her. ]

You can get one more moderate heal and one minor heal on top of the ones you already have. At that point, we're sort of tapped on how many healing spells we can give one person, I think.

Tell two people a personal story, and hug three people who you think might need it. You can mix and match - the two people who hear a story from you can also get hugs.

[ honestly this is probably less of an audience request and more of a sheba just turns to ask him, before he leaves to go living side again for the night. his daemon peeks out, weasel-formed, from his hood again - the theories that beings of dust can't be in the land of the dead is not. really that correct, apparently. ]

They were around this morning and the early afternoon, but I haven't seen them since. Could be that they left - we aren't able to sense them or other members of the Temporals, so I couldn't say.

[sheba looks at his daemon, then glances in the direction of the others in the graveyard with a very weary expression. it's fine. this is all fine.]

...right. Okay. [she sighs] I'll... check with the others and see if any of them have heard from them more recently.

[ he'll come to find her, in the suburbs, carrying something under his arm. ]

I'd like to see a rock get thrown at someone for healing, personally. We can figure something out.
