The kids in town said the lighthouse was haunted, so I decided to check it out.

Where I'm from, sometimes idols or symbols are used as protective charms or holy items. Given that Suriel and Shamsiel have told me we're meant to be "guardian angels," and this resembles us - and the statues outside the Torre degli Angeli, though not identical - it's meant to be something symbolic for the people here.

A little, though not in-depth, since the storm cleared up late on Sunday and we thought it probably better to meet you first thing on Monday, before there was some kind of riot.

If angels are part of the belief, here, it wouldn't shock me if they were praying for salvation. Or at least relief. [ especially given their eventual demise. ] People do monstrous things, when they're desperate. That, or somehow the spectres are able to form claws or there's some other beast out here we have to contend with.
