For the answer to that question, he continued to fight. The wolf kept fighting. Hundreds of years, thousands, and maybe even for tens of thousands of years, but his efforts were rewarded.
After many tries, he found a world where he didn't need to lose anything. His pack made no sacrifices even if that made the battles harder to win. He was able to remember moments where he was happy, rather than the many moments where he was sad. [ ... ] To say there were no sacrifices would be a lie. There was one that would always sacrifice themselves so the rest could live. Even though the pack was worried, they trusted them till the very end. That one never let them down, though they were always sad when they followed their reckless plans.
