MAGPIE
ROLE: MAGPIE
tsurumaru
tsurumaru
finder's keepers
On Tuesday, at 11 AM, Kiku catches Tsurumaru's attention. Both will innately know that they have somewhere to be, and Kiku will be able to lead the way—even if they've never been there before. Her form changes, as they're accustomed to, but takes that of a different magpie, a Common Green one, and will point out certain items to bring with them to their destination. Somewhere along the way, Yomiel appears to offer a terse greeting.
After finishing their business, Tsurumaru and Kiku will not be able to return to this location again without being invited back, regardless of whether they attempt to return on the same day or in the same week. Kiku will be able to take her new magpie form again on her own, but will revert to one of her original forms upon leaving. Tsurumaru and Kiku both will know that this form cannot be shared openly, and that caution should be practiced with sharing it privately, as well.

As the magpie, Tsurumaru will be presented with three items each week, and he may keep only one. Each item has the potential to have a positive effect on the competition and its participants, a negative effect, or may do something completely different. No information will be offered regarding each item until Tsurumaru has made his choice. Only then will the effects of the item chosen will be revealed. Choose wisely!
Additionally, Tsurumaru may use this time to speak directly with his assigned Watcher, Yomiel. He may ask questions, receive small hints, or simply chat with them, though any information received will be subject to Yomiel's own discretion.

★ Keep it secret.
★ Use your daemon’s magpie form sparingly.
★ Each week, you will be able to choose between three items to help or hinder the competition and its participants.
★ You may only select one item.
★ The results will not be revealed until the choice has been made.

Temporal, unfortunately. [ and to save tsurumaru the time, since he apparently has to rely on fox spirits to do the thinking for him most of the time: ] All of the dead so far except Pontmercy were Temporal. We started out with even numbers.

Oi... and there's no way for anyone to protect themselves? No one can protect them?

(It's not a question. He doesn't sound bothered about it either. It's more like... that's how it be.)

(This also isn't a question.)

Sure.

(He sounds like someone who needs to be thrown into a lake.)

What's surprising about it?
no subject
Everything is exciting.

I've hardly even said anything about myself. And neither have you.
no subject
(He's definitely teasing. He knows Yomiel wasn't serious so let him play too???)
You haven't asked.
no subject
As if I'd know what to ask, anyway. [ ... ] Do you... like music?
[ they sound doubtful. ]
no subject
(And easy question!! And he whispers, teasingly because?? Who is he keeping a secret from here when it's just the two of them?)
But I prefer dancing.

[ they're quite for a moment, and tsurumaru will get the feeling that they're examining him a little closer. ]
You look like you'd like the traditional stuff.
no subject
(He'll stay still so Yomiel can observe him. He'll allow it.)
Have you ever done a full tea ceremony?
no subject
...No? Why would I?
no subject
(He huffs,)
How you enter, how you sit, how you drink and eat! And you only get one sweet. Two or three if you're lucky! But then they say, "Make sure to drink more tea first to enjoy the taste."
I can enjoy it just fine.
no subject
Then... don't do a tea ceremony?
no subject
(Let him complain!!)
... Hmm, but I don't mind most other things.
no subject
Like what, then?
no subject
(Artsy things. Beautiful things. Most that actually require a lot of patience and sitting still, hmmmm.)
