INVESTIGATOR
ROLE: INVESTIGATOR

SEEING THE UNSEEN
On Tuesday, at 12 PM EST / 9 AM PST, Albin catches Ulrika's attention. Both will innately know that they have somewhere to be, and Albin will be able to lead the way—even if they've never been there before. His form changes, as they're both accustomed to, but takes that of an alpine chough, and upon reaching their destination, they will be greeted by the Watchers.
After finishing their business, Ulrika and Albin will not be able to return to this location again without being invited back, regardless of whether they attempt to return on the same day or in the same week. Albin will be able to take his alpine chough form again on his own, but will revert to one of his original forms upon leaving. Ulrika and Albin both will know that this form cannot be shared openly, and that caution should be practiced with sharing it privately, as well.

As the investigator, Ulrika will be given the opportunity to learn more about one person and their activities in the past week. Once Ulrika has made her choice, the spyglass will reveal such things as: the levels of Dust they have generated, Dust trails leading to who they have interacted with and locations they have visited, their team affiliation, and the forms their daemon is currently able to take.
Additionally, Ulrika may use this time to speak directly with the Watchers each week. She may ask questions, receive small hints, or simply chat with them, though any information received will be subject to the Watchers' own discretion.

★ Keep it secret.
★ Use your daemon’s alpine chough form sparingly.
★ Never let anyone else use the spyglass.
★ If too many participants learn about the spyglass, it will be requisitioned.
★ You may investigate one person per week to learn more about their activities.
★ You may use the spyglass to help track and locate spectres.

I knew there was something in here! And lookit you, Albin, you don't look like a kookaburra anymore!
[ brb she's off in lala land, marveling at her "ultra" "instincts". when she calms down, she'll address Yomiel, since they have definitely indulged her before, and also she doesn't want to talk to the fetishist (today). ]
Hey again! Guess that cooler plan is kind of a bust, huh? So uh... what's all this about?
no subject
[ they kind of are, though? ]
To keep it simple, there are people among you that have roles similar to yours that are meant to help everyone here, but we've got heavy restrictions when it comes to talking about them. Since that spyglass of yours can track the flow of Dust already, we can speak more freely with you.
If you want to work together to end this competition sooner than later, you'll have to find the others.

Other... roles? And what's dust got to do with any of it?
[ can the telescope see air currents or something. is there a chimney-sweep that she's supposed to be looking for ]
no subject
[ offers a hand to ulrika for the second time! i guess! it's got that same golden, dusty sheen to it as before. ]
It's a part of all livng things, including you and Albin there.
no subject
[ ............. but it looks more like sand...? ]
So when we die... that's what we turn into? Along with our daemons? Did that happen to Marius too?
[ you know. eventually ]

[ it should take a lot of magic to disintegrate bodies... and yet, it's just what happens here? ]
Okay, but what does Dust have to do with... roles? Like, if someone looked at me with this thing, would I have a sign above my head written in Dust?
no subject
well, ]
Sort of? It won't be a billboard with a giant arrow pointing to you, but you and anyone else with some kind of special role will generate more dust than the average person.

[ Albin preens his dark feathers. who's the smartest? he is! ]
But now that I'm here, let's go in!
[ into the ???? Room! how swanky is it? ]
no subject
E, eh?
You... You want to go in?
no subject
[ it's Right There though ]
no subject
Sh, shall we discuss any questions you may have first outside here? I can show you inside later.
no subject
[ Big Sus but okay ]
... Well, whatever. Is there any way to track the angel that had a chat with Bertolt?
