KNIFEBEARER
ROLE: KNIFEBEARER

THE LAST KNIFE OF ALL
On Sunday following execution, Finley catches Kotetsu's attention. Both will innately know that they have somewhere to be, and Finley will be able to lead the way—even if they've never been there before. Her form changes, as they're both accustomed to, but takes that of a maine coon, and upon reaching their destination, they will be greated by the Watchers.
After finishing their business, Kotetsu and Finley will not be able to return to this location again without being invited back, regardless of whether they attempt to return on the same day or in the same week. Finley will be able to take her maine coon form again on her own, but will revert to one of her original forms upon leaving. Kotetsu and Finley both will know that this form cannot be shared openly, and that caution should be practiced with sharing it privately, as well.

As the knifebearer, Kotetsu will be presented with three choices of new worlds to explore the following week. Each world will come with a brief description of the feelings or sensations associated with it, and Kotetsu may only choose one. No further details will be offered regarding each world until the following Monday. Choose wisely!
Additionally, Kotetsu may use this time to speak directly with the Watchers each week. He may ask questions, receive small hints, or simply chat with them, though any information received will be subject to the Watchers' own discretion.

★ Keep it secret.
★ Never open a window without closing it.
★ Never let anyone else use the knife.
★ Never use it for a base purpose.
★ If too many participants learn about the knife, it will be requisitioned.
★ Use your daemon’s maine coon form sparingly.
★ You must choose one world each week.
★ If you choose not to act, a choice will be made for you.

I... That's a lot to take in. Am I allowed to tell anyone? The other roles? Sholmes?
[ as with most information, he wants to make sure it's safe to share it before saying anything. he doesn't want to hurt the Watchers or jeopardize anything. ]
And of course. I'll keep working hard where I'm at. I'll try to find any answers I can.

[ because he knows that people have come to support the roles, and that it's inevitable that the information goes to them, too. ]
Good. Be ready for what's to come, even if we don't know the full depth of it yet.

[ he wonders about that. and nods. ]
There's a lot we're still trying to gather, but people are, at least, starting to realize we need to be talking more.
[ also... ]
One thing I should do so I'm prepared... What would it take for me to get my leg back? Or some kind of replacement? For whatever's coming and my own duties, I think I should be as mobile as possible.

You've got about nothing, when it comes to secrets, which is my favorite currency to work with. So, tell me a story. Then learn something new about three people and help three other people.
You can report back after you've completed the second task, and I'll give you your leg back in advance to help you complete the third.

[ he's already turned down a quest from someone else. ]
If I need to ask someone else I will.

Nothing that complicated. That's why there's an additional price of telling me a story, for the initial payment. Otherwise it would take longer and more exchanges to heal you.

[ He half laughs. ]
Are you asking for what I've done in my suit or when I felt the most heroic? Because those are two different things for me.

Your most heroic sounds like it's more personal, so that. You can save what you do in your suit for another time when it's not a missing limb being restored.

One day my daughter didn't come home and I searched all around for her. I was desperate... It was raining out and she'd been gone for hours. I stopped and used my powers and... I could hear her. Through the rain and everything. Her voice, crying out for me. [ instead of inspiring, his voice sounds a little... haunted? ]
She'd been trapped by fallen trees and couldn't go out. So, even if my power ran out part the way through clearing the way, I pushed my strength to its limits and saved her.
[ his voice catches and finley gets a bit anxious, coming over to push her head against kotetsu. ] I'd never been more grateful in my life to be able to save her.
[ he lets out a shaky laugh and has to cover his face for a moment. maybe he shouldn't have picked this memory. sorry, his shoulders are shaking a little. he needs to take a moment to breathe. ]
