as for diluc, it looks like his act is definitely working even though he doesn't have the same kind of cloak that the rest of them, he somehow makes it through. perhaps some of his credibility comes from the fact that he's calling over akira? hard to say, but they don't seem to mind the change and take a few steps back to make room for akira to come over.
though they do say something interesting, "Are you going to use him for testing?" ]

[ this. is indeed an interesting direction that they've taken and i guess kim is now going to become an experiment for the lot of them. what does that mean? well, they're about to find out as the cloaked figure that was talking to them nods their head and leads them to the room that was empty. or, well, seemingly empty. it was already diluc's and kim's plan so maybe this is a good idea?

as akira moves so does he, taking a defensive stance in front of kim as he turns towards the other cloaked figure in the room. he's ready for what will definitely be a fight now. ]
and first of all, maybe akira shouldn't have dropped kim right in the middle of the room so unceremoniously with the hopes that diluc would have got him covered because that's about not quite what happens. diluc will do a good job making sure nothing happens to kim but the abandonment of our dazed and troubled breathing friend just gets worse.
sure akira is able to definitely knock someone out with his uppercut and they'll go splat against the glass wall, however it will also mean that kim will get caught somewhat in the tear itself before it gets shut off and quite simply lose part of his arm—from the elbow down to be exact. if there is any good news to be had from this, it will be that the cut will be completely clean but that's about where it ends. blood will start to flow freely from the wound and someone should probably stop that bleeding before he just bleeds out from it.
on top of that, there's still one person left in this room which is great until they realize that this has now raised an alarm. congrats everyone. bad move. ]

[ punch and pray works! kind of. it's not a clean k.o but it's good enough to get the last cloaked figure in the room to be disorientated and give them an opening to get out of the room. which, i guess, is what they're going to have to do now. they're completely compromised and there's no way around it. akira may have the same cloak as the others, but that won't help him win over any favors—the walls are made of glass after all.
however despite diluc being affected by the pressure unlike akira (and maybe kim) and after doing a good job of cauterizing kim's wound, he'll have the prime opportunity to make use of the abilities when he first entered arrived, actually, they both will get a better clue of how they work. diluc will now fully understand that he has to move at a certain pace (light jog) for his illusions to take affect and that if he wishes to cover someone else outside of his after images, he can "bend" the light.
akira, meanwhile, will fully understand what it means when he was given the ability to "shred" others as if he does any kind of running attack at anyone, he'll do additional slashing damage to them. (idk how to explain this outside of rpg terms). either way, it's probably go time boys. you're no longer welcomed on this level. it'll be a bit a fight since they're packing heat with guns and...weaponized shoes..? latter is unclear but it's go time, hm? ]
[ Fighting is one of the only two things he's good at, so let's go. Before he does that though, he's going to use his one brain cell (more like he's noticing he still has the thing) to throw the other thorn cloak over Kim. The last thing they need is for him to suffocate after losing a limb, yikes.

[ i'm proud that the two of them are looking out for kim in his current state. somehow things just work out this well but kim will not suffocate on top of the shock he'll have from his injury. amazing what a little fire can do, but that feedback loop from the pain might be negging in the back of their minds as the thorn cloak will add an extra layer to pain to poor kim. why is kim being abused? he hasn't done anything to deserve this—
but they'll be able to make it through the growing crowds of people who show up in part due to the illusions that are left behind by diluc and but much of the heavy lifting will go to akira and his "shredding" of those who stand before him. did either of them want to be covered in blood? probably not but now they are. (are those people dead now? wobbly hands. outlook not so good.) diluc may receive some injuries from stray shots from the bullets that aim a bit too true. roll for that damage check! (higher more damage taken.) but as they book it to the edge of the section again.... stairs? elevator? or an even more radical option of whole ass just jumping down the hole?
regardless, they should think about what they want to do soon because for those who haven't been tricked or injured by the two of them, are coming back with those murder shoes to get their revenge. to make matters worse, the whirring noise that they had heard when they first arrived at this section is even louder than before and and just before the whole "tower" begins to shake. ]

He reaches into his pocket (digging somewhere beneath two wholeass cloaks) to grab his coin, and activates a power.
In an instant, a storm of cherry blossoms surround them. Then, he activates his new wind power to attempt to direct a gust of wind at some of their pursuers, picking up those petals and whipping them at their faces. He's not sure how much power he can muster, but he'll try to blast the air at their eyes, noses, and ears, to disorient them. The activated ability seems to have another effect too, and hopefully that also works for him.]
[ it sure does work well for him! or, well, for all of them! i just love the mental image of kim being bundled up in various cloaks like a small child before he just blasts everyone away with the wind abilities... it isn't exactly a typhoon quality winds but it's no joke and they go flying back and hitting the glass walls. which, actually, leave some of the cloak users a bit stunned for a moment after he sets off the wind. weird!
it'll take them all a moment to gather their bearings and think about what the fuck just happened.
and this is enough time for them to really get their move on. especially now that there seems to be some sparking at the bottom of the hole that can somewhat see faint traces of. either it's a testament of how bright the light is or a testament of how close they are to the bottom... who knows. honestly, who knows how far they've gone. ]
[Kim puts his coin back and just reaches a hand to hold over the stump of an arm he now has. He's still standing, at least. It looks like he might make it through this without passing out.]

[ as canoups shifts into their owl form, they'll see quite far down given their owl eyes that differ from human eyes. which means they'll be able to see far down the "tower" despite the sparks and the vibrations that they'll be feeling. it doesn't seem violent without reason but it's hard to tell what it would be for.
fortunately, it will seem like there is another landing that they can possibly crash onto. a catwalk or a grate of some sort. in addition, just a bit further down from that grate seems to what looks like a control panel? perhaps? a there's a faint glow of something. it'll be hard to exactly tell because of the distance between canoups and diluc but... maybe won't be so bad.
There's a platform that doesn't seem to be too far down. [ he glances back up to see if those cloaks from earlier are coming...he's sure they will catch up soon. then looks back down at the pit...here goes nothing??
