[Kim does not trust his athletic abilities. He tries to slowly balance his way across with the utmost caution... and loses his footing anyway. There is a moment of absolute terror that they all get to perceive before Diluc thankfully grabs him.
He lets out a breath. It isn't until he makes it to solid ground that he has the presence of mind to speak.]
[ it will be a dicey situation for akira, but he'll be able to make it across to the other side and then find himself pressed against the side of the stair way. he'll have to shuffle a bit to make room for diluc and kim, when they make it over, to fit along the side with him. who, of course, things don't look that great for kim but thanks diluc! he'll be able to catch him and the two of them will have no issue getting across.
now, they'll have to some shuffling against the side/ledge until they reach a proper landing or opening where they can get to the stair case. however, during this little exercise, they'll feel a vibration reverberate through the "tower" as they move. there will be no sound that they'll be able to hear but the know that it'll be coming from the depths and whatever is lower down from where they are. do they want to do a quick look around to understand their surroundings before moving on or do they just press forward? ]
[Something about that vibration triggers a sense of dread in Kim -- a reminder of something he's felt before. An oppressive emptiness, silent and deafening all at once.

[ they've found themselves in the middle of two sections, "layers", where there are plenty of stairway left ahead of them without a clear sign of how far they're supposed to go before they reach the next area. there will be "windows" against the wall and catwalks below them that cross the hole leading into different parts of the outer edge.
as for the matter of the number of cloaked figures, they won't see any on their same level, but they will see some directly below them walking about—this one with lightning bolts engraved on the ends. they'll seem to have something in their hands as they walk past them without minding them. but they'll be the only on that they'll see immediately in their area. looking further ahead of them will show a small trickle of the cloaked figures descending down the stairs without ease.
clearly they're not bothered by this pressure or even seem to notice it. the vibrations kick up once more and, again, it means nothing to the cloaked figures. just another day in the ""office"" for them, apparently. ]
Good. [ Akira will take a look out a window, but aside from that down seems to be the way to go. The vibrations are also a thing but it's not like he's turning back at this point. ]

and since it's a just a lot of walking down a lot of stairs since they took this route, they can keep going until the next landing where they'll find the floor filled with only a handful of those with blank cloaks while the others will have some sort of engraving. this section will be similar to the one that they left, except that the rooms that are on this section will be far larger and take up more of the floor space. the viewing windows for whatever secrets lie inside small and hard to make out from a distance.

again, there are the vibrations that shake through the entire "tower" except this time, they'll be able to overhear a few of the cloak wearers that pass them by mentioning something about how the testing as been pretty successful lately. ]
[ well somehow, despite only having blank cloaks that don't fit in with the rest of everyone else, no one seems to find that out of place. they will have no problem navigating the crowd and no one minds them as they clearly are looking around to see what's what and any kind of information that they can find. for akira's luck, he might not have to go too far in before he sees something interesting to note.
one of the rooms will open up and inside he'll see a rather large device being assembled. it'll look somewhat like a missile but not quite the kind of missile that he'd be familiar with. ...if he was familiar with how missiles/bombs were constructed in the first place. against the wall near the viewing window that he'll pass by he'll see how there's a clipboard that's labeled PROTOTYPE 2.45 TEST #20 with some detailing about its components. there will also be an illustration or blueprint of two beings standing on opposite ends of the page with an arrow being drawn between the two of them
for diluc, assuming that he's looking in the opposite direction of akira, he'll see something harder to describe. it will be a monitor detailing about a location much like he saw on the clipboard—the angel symbol once again on the right hand side of the screen—except next to it will be a coin...of sorts. it will look vaguely like the coin they possess. there will be some writing about the use of "windows" and "veils" and how to use them move between worlds. ]

[ it will behind a glass room, but because of how well things went for him previously, he'll be able to sneak in and steal the blueprint if he wishes to. it's close enough to the door and those in the room who are working on the missile/bomb are completely distracted as they are inserting something gold and shimmering inside of the casting. two guesses of what that could be after everything that they've experienced.
( we can hope and assume that kim is taking detailed notes within his mind palace. )
diluc will be able to take a better look at the monitor and the location will be the place with the lush forest and single enormous tree that stands out above all of the other trees. it's massive in every shape of the word and makes the forest below seems almost comically small even though it's obvious that they are just as large of trees. there will be notes describing it being "the next place" and the words, "quiet, murky, distant". unfortunately for diluc, there isn't anything too close for him to take but in a stroke of luck there will be a cloak with engravings of waves that can be found just on the inside of that room with the monitors if he wants to attempt to nab it. ]

as for akira, enjoy your blueprints to something that he doesn't quite understand just yet, and as he ventures further back into the room, he'll come across yet another room much like the room that they had both seen now with monitors displaying various locations that they haven't seen with a great emphasis on the vast forest with a single large tree. however, while that is on one of the monitors, there will be a sort of "tear" in the space in the middle of the room for akira to sneak a peak at. it won't last very long and he'll see one of the cloaked figures throw an angel idol with something attached to it into the "tear" before it disappears. they'll immediately move to one of the other monitors and look to check for something.
it will be clear to akira that they will be looking for where it had landed and across the multiple monitors, they'll see that it'll land in a pile of sand with some ruins that may be similar to what he had seen in ahnkeen. ]
