[This all feels almost familiar to Revali. Sure brings memories of his time with the Rito military. Lookouts, campfires, the possibility of attacks...well, at least here it seemed titans attacked during daylight? Must be nice to be able to sleep during the night without the possibility of attacks coming out of nowhere.
Revali eyes the door, wondering if it's unlocked. Would these people he's with wonder what's up with him if he goes and checks it? Hmmmm...
...
Probably. Should he care? Certainly not. He's not sure if all this is an elaborate illusion or if somehow they really are somewhere else and nobody bats an eye at the strange guys who somehow joined these forces all of a sudden, but he probably won't see them ever again once this is all over. Revali goes and softly pushes the door. Is it unlocked? Not really opening it yet]
[ roxis, despite the fact that's he's combat trained, is a civilian. a student of alchemy, studying at a school held separate from the rest of civilization by design, where no one without the gift can reach. he's used to late nights and long wilderness trips, ones that go overnight and into the next morning and then into the next day and then some.
but this sort of organization and drilling is a bit different from the more loose organization and coordination of their workshop. he doesn't trust these people half as much, for one thing.
they've searched for hours and there's no breach. according to the other groups, they've found nothing either. the conclusion is obvious, then: the titans came from within the walls. it's just that...
that sounds like something he doesn't want to say in front of present company? like connie? those girls? the blond boy who insisted there was nothing to hear? hm. yeah. ]
[ Connie looks down at the fire for a moment before he speaks up. ]
"Thing thing about that titan on my house is that... somehow it's appearance... really reminded me of... my mom. What the hell does that mean?"
[ The blond boy speaks up. ]
"Connie, you still keep saying that nonsense. Are you some kind of blithering idiot?"
[ And then the dark haired girl speaks. ]
"BWAHAHAHA! YOUR MOM WAS A TITAN, CONNIE?! Then how come you're such a midget?! Facts kinda don't add up that way, you know!"
[ She's so loud she's even pulling the attention of the seniors. She keeps talking, saying again and again how stupid the thought is. Enough to the point that Connie looks sheepish. ]
"Alright already, quiet Ymir!"
[ You feel relief at how Ymir managed to get Connie to drop the idea that his mom was the titan on the house.
With all that, once everyone settles down, everyone looks about ready to get to sleep. Do you join them or do you explore? ]
[ obviously we explore. key word there is we, because if the others aren't doing that then going off on his own sounds like a terrible idea. but if the others are coming with, we're exploring.
the relief is ... a little disorienting, though. one part of him is decidedly glad the subject was dropped; but a more distinct portion also argues why don't they want that particular topic being pursued? do they know something? they're hiding something.

The real question is who exactly it is that benefits from keeping the information suppressed. Potential titans in disguise, or non-titans who don't want their soldiers humanizing the enemy?
[ if this whole para?military thing is supposed to be an anti-titan force, then perhaps titans in disguise have already infiltrated and are trying to dissuade the idea of there possibly being anyone who could infiltrate. but if the propaganda is strong enough that no one thinks someone could turn into a titan outside one person, doesn't that mean they already have enough influence to nudge things that way? why not simply dismantle the organization or otherwise sabotage it with that much power at that point?
on the other hand, if it's non-titans keeping the information suppressed, then ... hmm.
[Naturally, Revali looks towards the stairs right away]
I'd avoid these soldiers. Let's get to the stairs.
[Since the room is where one of the seniors came from! True, there's no guarantee there are no soldiers of any rank wherever the stairs lead to, but yeah]
[ You climb up the stairs. For how broken the rest of the castle seems to be, they seem to be in relatively good shape. They're steady and wind up along the side of the tower. After a while, you reach a door. Once you open the door, you see a landing, which is where there is a door that leads to the side, which opens up to the bridge. Peering out, the state of the bridge is not as good as the stairs. The bridge looks more worn and unsafe, likely due to being exposed to the elements.
There's another set of stairs that continues to lead upward, to the top of this tower. Do you stay here or continue upwards? ]
[The state of that bridge certainly doesn't deter Revali. When you have wings and can glide, heights is a non-factor! He approaches the bridge -- as long as it's not suspended over, I don't know, pointy spikes or bottomless chasms]
I could explore all the way to the other side of this bridge.
[It also helps he's very light! Probably would try to avoid touching it as much as possible, but yeah]
[ scrambles out of my well to shame myself for letting this sit
anyway Rex nods along to Yukio. High vantage point first makes the most sense to him. ]
We just gotta make sure we don't get spotted up there. The lower profile we can keep, the better. [ and even then, if they DO get spotted, they have the high ground, so like. luck is in their favor, he figures. ]
