ROLE: INVESTIGATOR Yuri

SEEING THE UNSEEN

On Tuesday, at 12 PM EST / 9 AM PST, Pravda catches Yuri's attention. Both will innately know that they have somewhere to be, and Pravda will be able to lead the way—even if they've never been there before. Her form changes, as they're both accustomed to, but takes that of an alpine chough, and upon reaching their destination, they will be greeted by the Watchers.

After finishing their business, Yuri and Pravda will not be able to return to this location again without being invited back, regardless of whether they attempt to return on the same day or in the same week. Pravda will be able to take her alpine chough form again on her own, but will revert to one of her original forms upon leaving. Yuri and Pravda both will know that this form cannot be shared openly, and that caution should be practiced with sharing it privately, as well.


As the investigator, Yuri will be given the opportunity to learn more about one person and their activities in the past week. Once Yuri has made his choice, the spyglass will reveal such things as: the levels of Dust they have generated, Dust trails leading to who they have interacted with and locations they have visited, their team affiliation, and the forms their daemon is currently able to take.

Additionally, Yuri may use this time to speak directly with the Watchers each week. He may ask questions, receive small hints, or simply chat with them, though any information received will be subject to the Watchers' own discretion.

★ Use your daemon’s alpine chough form sparingly.
★ Never let anyone else use the spyglass.
★ If too many participants learn about the spyglass, it will be requisitioned.
★ You may investigate one person per week to learn more about their activities.
★ You may use the spyglass to help track and locate spectres.

Here you are, with only one role left to find, or maybe some murderers. Did you have someone in mind for this week?

... How much can you say about other roles, if I ask for some "hot or cold" on my guesses? Versus, how much can you confirm my theories or answer questions about this that role I don't know?

[grigori]

...We can't say anything about it at all until you find it yourself. [ which he hates! ]

[senjinrouha]

I can use you as a sound board though while I think about my theories, though?

I'm assuming it's the responding and confirming or not part that kinda gets you in trouble, rather than me talking out loud within earshot of you.

[grigori]

I mean, sure, you can talk at me all you want. But I still won't be able to confirm for you one way or another.

Talking stuff through is a good way of thinking.

Seeing as we have side specific roles -- four of them don't seem tied to a team, and four do... they must be two Celestial and two Temporal. I know what Revali was, and I can take a wild guess at the other two based on what we know about teams now so...

I think I'm looking for a Temporal. I just need to figure out which one.

[grigori]

[ he listens in silence, making no indication of how right or wrong yuri's theories might be. ] Do you even know that many? A lot of you haven't been sharing freely.

Nope. That’s the big issue, isn’t it? Also I went from finding only Temporals to finding a bunch of Celestials recently.

I have a personal choice, maybe. But I’m not sure I can go based on personal wishes.

[grigori]

What other information do you have to work off of, besides a personal choice? Nothing that could make anyone stand out?

I’ve asked the others for suspicions, but I’m not sure how much is them going off things they’ve noticed, or based off of things they know about the people personally.

[grigori]

...You didn't ask? [ don't be judgy. ]

[senjinrouha]

I did. But some of them didn’t know teams, and some of the responses were just “well they work for law enforcement, so”.

[ he’s had a week and it’s only tuesday, let him rest. ]

[grigori]

[ rolls his eyes. ] As if law enforcement means anything. Those types can hardly do anything worthwhile, anyway.

[senjinrouha]

Letting personal feelings bleed in there, huh?

[ ... ]

Some of them are fine. You just need to find them in all the ones that are just throwing their power around.

[grigori]

I'm just saying that being law enforcement doesn't mean they're good people or that they do a good job at it. And it's got nothing to do with who you think could have the last role.

[senjinrouha]

I'm not the one suggesting law enforcement, you know. It's a suggestion I've taken on board is all.

Yeah, sure. [ whatever! ] Like I said, I can't give you any hints, anyway.
