Never met one, and I'm not religious. But if they're beings that inhabit the afterlife or a different dimension than the surface one, same thing to me.
[ It's fine he'll just move out and leave the next poor sucker to deal with it. jk. maybe. ]
Kakuya's a special case. She can't be purified or killed like other spirits, so this is the next best thing. It's apparently my duty to seal her, or else she breaks out and fucks up things for everyone.
I'm not really sure how it'll work but I guess it's kinda like...giving the spirits want they want, in a way.
So, she's one of those demons or spirits that can't be appeased? Isn't it more common that you find ways to give them peace so that they can leave on their own? ...or is that kind of stuff only in folklore?
[ A heavy sigh at duty, he did not sign up for this. ]
Yeah, I think it's because she's a doll spirit? I dunno, I thought ghosts were fake three months ago. [ A slight nod at the rest. ]
Most of the other ones I've dealt with: the Urashima Woman, Kubitarou of Kintoki, and the Screaming Author I was able to appease and put them to rest. Tsukuyomi though, well it's wish was to die, so I'm not sure I had a choice.
[ no one signed up for this? but especially akira... ]
Three months of dealing with ghosts and now this. It must all be very jarring to you.
[ and then he continues. ]
Urashima Woman? Is that similar to Urashima Taro? [ not that akira can see, but they'll be squinting behind their mask in deep thought. ] Tsukuyomi... Your stories sound a little bit different than what I know, but I doubt you'd be lying to me just because. Then again, it would be surprising if our worlds were exactly alike.
[ He says this so dryly but it's also true in a way. This is life and so he accepts it. ]
The turtle theme is similar yeah, but I don't think the rest has anything to do with it. But I'm not an expert on fairytales or occult or whatever, that's my Aunt's and Hazuki's thing. [ A slight tilt of his head. ]
I'd lie to you with something better than turtles haunted by babies. Can you say if you're from Japan?
I see... I'm kind of curious how our stories would have been different if you were more familiar with them. N, not that I'm an expert about them either.
[ they'll tilt it in the opposite direction. ]
I can! I can speak about small details like that without any issue. It doesn't count as interfering with anything.

However, I think a few of you are already and have been ready to take them on.

[ Fighting is the answer!!! Maybe. smh. ]
Once I know a bit more, maybe we can talk about trading for my other power back.

Sure, we can talk about it. What does your other power do again?

[ His apartment really is hella haunted. ]

Sealing a spirit into a mirror... So, it doesn't go away? It's just trapped?

I'd have thought you'd be from one of the places that sound like they're in Africa than some version of Japan, to be honest.

[ and they are the heart(?) of the party. ]
Though... Why's that? I'm curious.

Anyway, thanks for info. I have a few letters to write, I guess.
