Aren't we all? I'd like to meet someone who was genuinely doing things for the sake of others and not for something or someone else.

There is nothing wrong with pursuing personal goals. I like it more than waging a war against another group. But surely you know there are many people in this world who make their decisions for the sake of others.

But is it purely for the sake of others? Is it not partially selfish because those are the people that only matter to them?

If there is someone among you who would go through these lengths for a complete stranger you know nothing of, then I'd like to speak with them.

I suppose it depends what the lengths are. I do not know whether any of us would lay down our lives for a perfect stranger. But whether or not we would fight for the sake of them. . . I think you are mistaken to believe this a rare trait.
