Yes, there are others here who are part of the Temporals. I would rather if no one fight as well but if it must come down to it...

Fighting back is all well and good. I suppose I'm more concerned with who might initiate the fighting.

We can hope it isn't us, however it may be difficult to remain perfectly peaceful if they strike first.

Do you have such distrust in the others?

I only hope for the best in people but I'm not naïve enough to blindly believe that not a single person won't raise a hand against another. If I could guide people toward a better, more peaceful resolution then that would be what I'd desire.

That's what I would desire too, but I understand what you say. I have seen often enough that there are cruel people in the world. And there are many tragic accidents.

May I ask you something? I have had a sense that I ought not to speak of the symbol on my coin. But if it is truly a matter of factions. . . there are people here I would want to trust, as well. Would it be wrong to share that information with others who are worthy of that trust?

Naturally you'd want to know whether or not they are on the same side as you so I won't stop you from sharing the information, however the Temporals and Celestials have differing opinions.

I understand. As much as I like some of the people here, there is no way to be certain they are worthy of trust. Mr. Sholmes, however. . . I know that he would not do me any harm.

And. . . I suppose I have faith in Lord Van Zieks as well. But I do not know if I could ask him to have the same faith in me.

Mr. Sholmes is an interesting person. I'm not sure what to make of him, but he certainly tries his best, doesn't he?

I believe you might understand what we're here to do. The matter of the conflict—to prevent the others from winning so that they're unable to harm others. However, I understand that is doesn't give you much insight as to what it is that you must specifically do.

It's one of the things that we're trying to figure out ourselves.

That goal at the least is one I can easily support - to prevent harm. The rest we shall have to work to discover.
