...Yes, we would like an end to this, wouldn't we. [...He actually frowns at that.] Our other masked friends seemed to suggest they were here for a reason they agreed to. I assume you were given a similar bargain?
To do your best for someone, even to put yourself in such a compromising position...that's the kind of loyalty that would be put down in legends. Sometimes, you'd move the world for the ones you love.
I've done it before, and I'll continue to do it, if I must. Being put into this position is infuriating, but I'm not the kind of person that will suffer it silently and without pushing back.
You've all made that fairly clear so far, Sholmes. A few of you have even given pointers on how best to stab, kick, or otherwise hit the go-betweens and higherups.
Maybe...if you brought them down for good. [He smiles, like he is reminded of something.] Regardless, we shall work together in tandem to find our solution. I'm sure... [And a meaningful look.] We need to do it for the ones we love.

You're correct to assume, yes. What would you presume my reason to be, Sholmes? Just with a hazarded guess.

[He tilts his head this way and that.]
To protect someone.
no subject
That was mine, and it was always to be mine.

[A bow of the head.]
I do hope you will push back with all your strength. I'm sure many of us here would be behind you all the way on that.

[sholmes: i know yuri's name but i'm going to keep forgetting it every time i talk to him because i'm a bastard. i'm just a bastard]
By the by...may I ask a question? What really is the difference between Celestials and Temporals, anyways?
no subject
The Temporals apparently represent order, whereas the Celestials represent dangerous chaos, if you asked them. It's what I've been hearing.
Celestials have the end goal of preventing the Temporals from either taking over or wiping out worlds, depending on how they respond to it.
no subject
[Hm.]
Though, if they stand for order, wiping out worlds doesn't sound quite orderly, no?
no subject
It's not difficult for me to imagine something on a greater scale.
no subject
[That is grim, but...correct.]
I can't say you're wrong. [He frowns.] If these Temporals have such a goal...I suppose our worlds are at danger, as well.
no subject
And some sort of end, with the right answers.
no subject
Another one of your number thinks there may be possibility that this could end peacefully. Do you think that possible?
