[Truthfully, that someone accepted to meet him in person was a bit of a surprise. Revali approaches, standing beside the table]
It is. Do your...friends know you're here?
[He has no idea if Shamsiel coming to meet him goes against some sort of rule they have for each other or not, but hey, if he needs to be discreet then he's fine with it]

[Alright, good to know]
I was promised answers. I know you weren't the one to say it, but I intend to hold you to that promise as much as I can.
[Well look at that, Revali is perfectly capable of having a civil chit-chat! Doesn't seem uncomfortable in the slightest, as if he's the one fully in control instead of, you know, being at the mercy of Shamsiel's willingness to speak. Medli, moves to pretty much the maximum distance it can be from Revali, ready to listen to incoming steps in case someone approaches the cafe during the conversation. No harm in being cautious!]
I was told maybe you could talk the difference between you three and the Temporals. What's going on?

Really? And what are yours, then? Something more precise than 'we oppose them', please.
[The Celestial's beliefs, he means. Revali takes out the coin he got, turning it in one wing. This is related to them, he supposes. Hm...]

So you say.
[Revali nods, looking at the coin. Answers to come at a later point, alright. Right, time to be blunt:]
There's absolutely no reason to think you and the others are telling the truth, of course. Why should I believe that you, and the other two that came out of the tower, are trustworthy?

No.
[Well goshdang, that response he gave was immediate. No trust!
But he's not leaving. Perhaps that's a good sign. Maybe appealing to, well, a peaceful end is a good thing. He's a warrior through and through, but someone telling him to fight somebody else without being upfront about things would be far harder. That it's an attempt to at least end without someone getting hurt makes him at least consider to listen, even if it's begrudgingly]
Tell me about yourself. Who are you?
[Pretty broad question, really! Giving a lot of liberty about how to answer it. Doesn't seem like he's looking for anything specific -- just trying to figure out stuff about Shamsiel, really]

[Oh no, a bird daemon, his weakness! Okay not really, but he notices that. He has gotten along decently well with most people with this sort of daemon, somehow. Will the pattern hold?]
At this point it'd be surprised if you did. Almost everyone has been staring at me like I have something on my face.
[He shrugs. At this point he has gotten over it]
Different in what way?

[Frankly anything is better than the way this city is designed, how can anyone live here without going crazy from how claustrophobic it feels. Even if he could fly it'd be such a hassle! Even though Shamsiel says it's crowded, he sure is picturing something faaaaar better than this all]
So a town like this one feels like the complete opposite of what you know. Tough.
[Huh, that's some sympathy]

[If something is to be enjoyed and appreciated about this town Revali sure hasn't found it. Don't pay attention to him, he's just so bitter about how claustrophobic the place feels when compared to home, hah. When he speaks the differences are pretty obvious:]
Rito Village is an open space. We live on a mountain surrounded by a lake, everything built around the cliffs. The skies up there, the clifffside holding everything together, enough space for the wind to blow and everyone to come and go. It's a truly beautiful place, the sort that's welcoming for anyone who wants to visit.
[He sounds so proud and, frankly, longing for it. It has been more than one century since the last time he was at home, after all. Although the entire place still looks nice from afar, there probably have been enough changes to make the place feel strange to him if he ever returned]
It most certainly unlike any other place you have been in.

Indeed. There's something satisfying about standing on one of the many viewing platforms and watching the lake below, with the wind all around you.
[It's really the sort of thing that can't be described with words]
I have spent my entire life training to surpass any limitations -- and succeeded at it! The firmament, both at home and everywhere else, holds no secrets from me! Impressive, I know.
[Sometimes I can't believe the things I write]

You should experience it yourself when you have the chance. It's not the sort of experience you can understand unless you try it yourself.
[Only makes him a tad more bitter he has lost his ability to fly, really. Revali tries to push down that particular bitterness, distracting himself with a query for details:]
With magic? Is it some sort of magic?

A knight I know has a paraglider. It's nothing more than a fabric to hold onto, but it's the closest anyone has gotten to flying. It always seemed too dangerous.
[Certainly it's something nobody should try to do unless you have a lot of stamina, goodness gracious, don't use a paraglider]
Any technology better have progressed from such a disappointingly meager item.

[Maybe they're not wrong. Revali nods, although he doesn't seem all that convinced]
Do the other two come from the same place as you?
